Rich Castle was a ready-mix driver, and Jane Castle worked at the local bank, when they welcomed their
newborn twin girls into this world. They thought they would “simplify” their lives by starting a home-based
business and being present to raise their family. In 1984, Castle Concrete Pumping was established with one
mechanical ball pump.

From the beginning, they believed it was very important to build a personal and professional relationship directly
with the customer. Rich began to inspect jobs prior to pumping concrete and customize the job to the customer’s
specific needs. Jane streamlined the dispatching and accounting for the business. They earned the trust of their
valued customers, and within a year Castle Pumping had three mechanical pumps. The following year they purchased
their first boom pump, which Rich taught himself to operate.

Castle Pump started out as a home-based business, and for several years after that, they rented a “vintage” shop and yard.
But in 2005, Jane and Rich designed and built a custom facility for their new headquarters. The high-tech office and large
shop modernized the dispatching and met the everyday maintenance and mechanical requirements of the fleet.
Four Decades and many pumping adventures later, Castle Pumping has grown and adapted to meet the needs of our customers.
Over the years, the company added line pumps, boom pumps, and belt trucks to the fleet, while also gaining valuable experience
tackling challenging jobs.
